Well, we had our 18 week ultrasound last week. We had the option of finding out what sex this baby is, but we want it to be a surprise on it's birthday! He/She is even waving to you in this u/s picture! We're going to get the 4D ultrasound picture after we get back from Hawaii in Jan. I'll post more pictures then!

We sold our house!!!

So we finally sold, actually gave away :), our house! Yep, took a 35% hit, but hey, it's worth getting a new one before the baby comes! So, we are busy packing and Jack gets to carry all the boxes since I don't want to lift them ;) He's so great! Max had fun too :)

We went for our 18 week ultrasound on Monday. What a little miracle! We can't believe how much he/she has grown since we first saw him/her at our 8 week u/s. Everything was perfect and he/she even measured a week further than we thought. Since Jack and I were both 10 lb. babies, I'm in trouble unless this thing comes early!!! We don't want to know the sex until he/she is born, but for conversation sake, since I swear I saw a "hamburger" vs. a "turtle", I'm calling it a she!!! (I'm really not a professional ultrasound tech though, so don't count on me being right :)

Alright girls, here you go.... 15 weeks and way more "chubby" fat than pregnant fat...

Anesthesia conference in Atlanta

We went to Atlanta in the beginning of October for an anesthesia conference and to visit our friends Andrew and Megan. What a great time! Besides being the designated driver and taking advantage of happy hour at the Embassay Suites, we spent time at the aquarium, olympic park, CNN studio, and touring Atlanta. Thanks Megan and Andrew for a great time!

Visiting my dad in Las Vegas/ Red Rock Canyon

Jack and I went to visit my dad in Las Vegas Oct. 17th weekend. We had a blast! We didn't gamble much, but really enjoyed visiting with my dad and enjoying the outdoors and fine restaurants. The best adventure of the weekend was for sure the Jimmy Buffet concert. What GREAT seats and unforgettable concert!!!! Thanks Dad!

Laura's Bachelorette party/ wedding

What a beautiful Bride-to-be and Bride! Laura's bachelorette party was in Grand Rapids. We first went to the piano bar and then ended up at some dance club downtown. We had a ton of fun and got to meet all of Laura's friends from Grand Rapids. What a night!
To tell you how small this world is, I ran into a college (NIU) swimming teammate who is from England! She happened to be at a friend's wedding in downtown Grand Rapids at the same time as Laura's party. I couldn't believe it! Nice seeing you Erika!

Larua's wedding was at her church in Troy and then the reception was at Crank's- a beautiful white tent in Stoney Creek Park. The weather was PERFECT... 75 and sunny all day! Congratulations Laura and Herbie!

Frankenmuth

The annual Frankenmuth car show was the weekend after Labor day. Since it was still too early, we didn't want to tell our parents about our good news quite yet. So, after faking drinking beer all weekend and drinking Coors N/A (non alcolol), we got through the weekend without them even having a clue! What a great time! We stayed over night and partied with Julie and Ed, Julie and Rich, Joe and Lauren, Dick and Marsha, Cindy and Todd, and Jack's parents. What fun!
